The answer is simple: They should be ashamed to be wearing jersey plates on their car and the shame should be so great as to prevent them from wanting to show their face in their hometown...

I've always called them jersiots..and honestly if you grew up in the Hamptons, even if you move away in your adult years, you can still be considered somewhat of a "local". I lived in EH for the greater part of my life and still consider myself somewhat of a local even now living in another state due to the fact I have family still living there and visit. I find it rather funny how you all seem to shun people once they've left EH especially.. talk about being rude ;o) Cut the person some slack guys-how many people have had to move away due to prices out there and the lack of options to go anywhere in life unless mommy or daddy owns a store/business you can run or you were able to get a good job. Especially in this economy. Is every college graduate that moves away suddenly an outcast just because they went looking elsewhere for better opportunities in life? I personally think you guys are being rather rude. So what if the person has NJ plates and has the NERVE to visit their *HOMETOWN* once in awhile. Oh my goodness..the nerve!! *rolls eyes*

@BonacTonic - they were born and raised in the Hamptons, but moved like so many do later on in life. I find it rude that someone would assume that it's ok to pass someone with New Jersey plates on the left hand side.

BTW - Thanks for being an active contributor! How about some stories?

Okay, read it again. It's your car but you called yourself local...? UNless it's a typo and the car is a friends of a friends or something, "Local" is an an idiot as well, just not the accident causing one. :-)

If you're Local why were driving a car with Jersey Plates? Was it a friends? If you're a second homeowner you're not a "local".

"New Jidiot"... I like it. hahahaha.
