The correct response, when a woman jumps in front of you at a bakery, spoken with the utmost etiquette; is to wait for them to order, then reply, "Wow; guess I was dead wrong. I was sure she'd be ordering either medical attention because she must be bleeding to death, to cut in front of the rest of us, or hard meds because she left hers in the Bronx, along with her manners." - and never say it to their face, or they won't let you finish, but after delivery, be sure they'll turn and glare, then give them the blink and silent smile, wait for their explosive retort, then finish with a gentle mommy tone, "Waiter, give that woman 8 Valiums and a martini - I'm buying - and she obviously needs both asap." and if she continues to rant, look at the waiter "Better make that 10 Prozac and two shooters, and make if fast Sonny or she's gonna blow a stroke." then turn to her and gently ask in the carng nurse tone, "We wouldn't want that now, would we?"

That ought to do it.

I see two separate issues. Whether "rich" or "poor" by no means should you run away from common decency. Now entitlement is different. That in and of itself implies a rudeness. To feel entitles though does not mean you are either rich or poor, just that something is owed you.

All in all, I have no taste for the summer folk who go to the Beach Bakery. Simon's a nice guy but he should get his customers under control
