I'm at work at Bridgehampton kmart and I needed help with the deactivation counter and this lady is huffing and saying, "Excuse me I'm in a hurry" so my supervisor said, "Mrs. there's another customer in front of you so you have to wait anyway. then the lady said, "well i need to get out of here, my kids are in the car." me and the supervisor looked at each other and said well that's not our problem.
I mean if you are in a rush and you leave your kids in the car maybe she should have brought them in with her or don't shop at all.
It's a simple fix for the situation.

Gucci Clad Shopper Is Special
I was in Waldbaum's checking out this afternoon when a woman in her Gucci oversized glasses demanded someone go out and get her a cart.
Not once, but a second time seeing as no one working gave her any mind.
With the second demand, I turned around and with equal volume asked her if she thought she was special to which she responded that she was "special."
Excuse me if I was less than respectful to Miss Prim, but I told her, "no... what she was, was an arrogant asshole."
She found immediate reason at that point to storm into the store... without a cart. Too bad because I thought the conversation was just getting good.

Above The Law In East Hampton
I was just now in the bank parking lot in East Hampton Village and saw a man and a woman having a bad verbal fight - she had taken a picture of him riding around in his red pickup truck with his dog hanging out the back - and he got out and was yelling at her.
I saw him going to the bank before and walking around, his dog was in the back of his truck making a real racket waiting for him. Everyone in the store I was in was complaining about it, saying they hear dogs barking and crying all day in that lot because idiot people leave them to boil in the sun while they shop in town.
My friend and I went to see what was going on, and we see this woman taking pictures of a truck with a golden in the back. This guy with glasses gets out, stopping all traffic behind him, and runs up to her, yelling and demanding she give him her phone. She is yelling back that he is a POS for endangering his dog and whatnot and if he touches her she will call the police.
He was yelling that he has been living here 10 years and that he works for the police. She says you work for the police but you are coming at me like this? He got back in his car in a huff and sped off with that dog hanging out the back. Having been born and raised in the Springs I can tell you, it's not OK - even for the actual police - to get up in a woman's face like that or drive around with your dog in the back of your pickup truck.
In fact, driving around with your dog unrestrained, let alone loose in the bed of a truck is against the law.
Look it up. Many people do it anyway, but if they only knew how dangerous it is and how many dogs every year need to be euthanized from having too many broken bones and internal bleeding from falling out of trucks, I doubt they would still do it. Everyone thinks their dog is so well trained they would never be hurt but that is BS. I was a veterinary technician for 12 years and I'm sorry to say that I saw dogs with broken bones who fell out or jumped out on the highway daily. Sometimes owners don't even realize it until they are a mile up the road. Lots of states have outlawed this including NY.
Anyway, these two were pretty heated but I think she had a real point and I'm sorry I didn't come to her defense. It happened quickly and we were pretty taken aback.
I just looked on the ASPCA website and they say you can report a dog owner who does this. I didn't get his plates but I hope that lady did and reports this guy. Red truck, golden dog, guy with glasses. Look out for this POS as she said.

Curb Your Dog? Nope, Curb Your Humans at Cameron Beach!
Going to the beach early 6:30 am is a ritual. My dogs - Zak and Zoe and I look forward to it. We get back home shortly after 9 am since dogs are not allowed after 9 am.
Many mornings I always find some kind of debris left from the night before and I place it all in an extra bag I carry with me.
This morning being Sunday was particularly disturbing, as at the edge of beautiful Mecox bay close to the ocean there was in an area 12 empty beer bottles, the carton they came in, empty white Styrofoam containers, and 2 large plastic containers that had a lot of sushi with all the plastic condiments, plastic cups, dirty paper towels, and a dirty child diaper etc....
There was a large supermarket bag left so I filled the bag plus my own bag and brought them to the container at the Cameron beach parking lot.
They want to ban dogs from the beach!!!!! Let's rethink that!
Right by the edge of the ocean there were large boxes which had contained huge fireworks. I could not lift them but some town workers who were removing a fence took them at my suggesting it.
This was one area of one beach.
Is there any consciousness in people who leave their trash behind.........

Do as I do, not as you do
I can't stand it! HELLO?!!! The car behind me was flashing his blue emergency light in the windshield (volunteer firefighter rushing to a call)
...me in bumper-to-bumper traffic just outside of Bridgehampton ...
I finally was able to pull into an opening between two utility vehicles parked on the side of the road to let the guy pass, and HALF A DOZEN trucks and cars continued after him, not ONE letting me back in!
RUDE RUDE RUDE! And I KNOW none of THEM let him pass!
It's a LAW to let emergency vehicles sirens and lights blasting to go past you! And how RUDE not to let those of us who do, to let us back into the lane! AAAuuugh!
